SAMSUNG WAVE, FIRST BADA SMARTPHONE HITS THE MARKET

Ltd., a leading mobile phone provider, announced the commercial availability of the Samsung Wave (Model: S8500) in the local and the European markets, at Mobile World Congress 2010, the Wave is the first smartphone based on Samsung’s new, open smartphone platform, bada, and is the cornerstone of the company’s commitment to ‘smartphone democratization.’

The Samsung Wave is also one of the most attractive devices with a seamless, streamlined body that has no parting or harsh lines. A beautiful and strong tempered glass display perfectly complements and enhances the vividness of the Super AMOLED display that saves energy and performs highly under all sorts of light effects. Samsung Introduces its Revolutionary 3D LED Televisions to the Syrian Market

Samsung, the world leader in consumer electronics and digital solutions, in cooperation with Astrum- Samsung’s new home appliances and AV dealer in Syria- announced the launch of its new 3D LED televisions to the Syrian market.
In a ceremony held on Monday, June 7 2010 at the Four Seasons Hotel- Damascus, Samsung Electronics announced the official launch of the televisions in Syria. The ceremony was attended by VIPs, media representatives, Samsung MEA and Levant managers and Astrum – Samsung’s new home appliances and AV dealer in Syria.

Samsung’s HD 3D LED TV 9000 series offer 16 times higher clarity at 960 CMR (Clear Motion Rate) than normal 60Hz screens for smooth and vivid 3D images. Moreover, the technology provides the “2D to 3D” function, allowing the conversion of normal 2D images to dynamic 3D images. The design features a high-class stainless metal chassis, the world’s slimmest panel thickness (7.98 mm) as well as a premium remote “smart controller” with a 3-inch touch screen. Equipped with Wi-Fi, the controller enables users to easily enjoy various features - including mobile TV, web surfing, and centrally managing peripheral devices – all by a simple touch of the screen. Samsung Digital Imaging Wins Prestigious CLIO Award for Innovative Communications Strategy

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, awarded a prestigious international CLIO award for a new strategic communications and public relations initiative to launch its ST1000 product. The CLIO Awards are one of the world’s most recognised international advertising, design and communications competitions, focused on evolving with the industry in order to acknowledge the most current and innovative work. The prize was awarded for an online and social media campaign to launch the ST1000 digital camera, in conjunction with Austria’s renowned Schonbrunn Zoo and demonstrated Samsung’s ongoing commitment to breakthrough communication campaigns.

Samsung developed a unique partnership with the Schonbrunn Zoo in Vienna, to show consumers how easy and intuitive the new ST1000 camera is at uploading pictures to the internet via its innovative wireless capabilities, a feature shared across a number of Samsung’s digital cameras. This unprecedented and ground breaking strategy proved that ST1000’s capabilities and easy-to-use features could even be operated by anyone, including an Orangutan, a message that was successfully communicated to an audience around the world. Samsung Awards its Sub-Distributors Valuable Prizes

In line with its efforts to strengthen the relationship with mobile phones sub-distributors in the Syrian market, Samsung electronics, a market leader in electronics and digital solution, continued the second “Gold Program” activities for Samsung mobile phones, in cooperation with Mawared modern company, Samsung authorized distributor in Syria.

Recently, Samsung launched a series of interactive programs that aim at opening communication channels with its sub-distributors, giving them added value for being in business with one of the largest mobile phones company worldwide, for shared benefits.

Commenting on the importance of such programs, Mr. Sangsuk Roh, president of Samsung Levant said: “We are proud at Samsung of our commitment to customers, which shows the appreciation and uniqueness, as we are keen to give our relationship with them a positive interaction. Our distributors are not the exception; they are the ambassadors of our brands to convey our advanced solutions and products to customers.”

The “Gold Program” activities included a raffle draw of our sub-distributors who participated in the offers of Mawared modern company, to win different immediate prizes including LCD screens, in addition to entering that final draw on gold prizes. The event was held on Friday, April 30 and Al Faro’onieh village in Syria, and more than 350 distributors attended.

In a speech delivered by Mr. Nour Abu Lebadeh, the manager of mobile phone and computers department at Mawared modern company indicated the pioneering position of Samsung products and solutions in the Syrian market due to its quality and reliability, reaffirming Samsung’s concern to strengthen its relationship with its distributors to reach the ideal levels.

Samsung Launches Cutting Edge Vivace, Crystal and Max Air-Conditioners


Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a market leader and award-winning innovator in consumer electronics, has unveiled its latest range of air conditioners, two of which feature the Virus Doctor Technology.
